Located in the City of San Luis Obispo, this new construction development will be comprised of 68 apartments, including studio, one, and two bedroom units. This three-story, three-building configuration with a community room, outdoor courtyard, and playground, will serve individuals and families making at or below 60% of the Area Median Income, as well as populations with special needs. Residents will also have access to onsite property management, and service-enriched support.

The link to the pre-application will be published on this webpage on Monday, July 8 at 9AM. They must be received by Friday, July 26 at 5PM. A randomized lottery will be conducted on the afternoon of Tuesday, August 6 to determine the order of processing.

At the time of applying, your household’s total gross annual income may not exceed the guidelines below. These limits are determined by the Department of Housing and Urban Development and are updated annually. Effective 4/1/24

Unfortunately there are no special priorities available. Applications will be processed in the order determined by the lottery. 34 units are set-aside for referrals from the local Coordinated Entry System. This is a countywide network that aligns homeless services to ensure that resources are efficiently and equitably distributed to support those experiencing homelessness.

Those that are imminent at risk of becoming homeless or are currently homeless might be eligible to be assessed for the Permanent Housing Queue and referral to available units.

Yes! Section 8 is accepted. However, PSHH doesn’t provide Section 8 vouchers. If you don’t currently have a voucher, please visit the Housing Authority of San Luis Obispo to learn more and enroll.

This property will offer the following floorplans:

  • 1-Bedroom, 1 Bathroom: 562 square ft
  • 2-Bedroom, 1 Bathroom: 727 square ft

Tiburon Place is located at 3750 Bullock Lane, San Luis Obispo. Please note, this is still an active construction site, so please do not enter the property.

All units will be equipped with a new refrigerator, stove, window coverings, and vinyl flooring throughout. There will also be mobility and sensory accessible units available. The site has two building, each three stories tall, with an elevator and outdoor courtyards. Resident also have access to uncovered, onsite parking, laundry facilities, a community room, and bike racks. This is a non-smoking property.

Yes! Pets are allowed. Please let us know at the time of applying. There is a $150 pet deposit.

Free onsite services include property management and access to case management from licensed social workers.

Residents will pay their own electricity. PSHH pays for water, sewer, and trash. A utility allowance is provided to each unit.

Rents are based on bedroom and unit size. Household income must be at least twice the monthly rent, unless the applicant has a tenant-based rent subsidy (i.e., Section 8). Current maximum rent limits are:

The property is still under construction but is currently estimated to be open for occupancy mid December 2024. We will stay in contact with new residents if there are changes to this timeline.
