Free Health & Fitness Fair a Big Success in Carpinteria

A free Health & Fitness Fair was held Saturday, May 3, 2014 from 11:30-1:30 p.m. at Dahlia Court Apartments Community Room in Carpinteria. The health fair was organized by Peoples’ Self-Help Housing, First Five Commission Santa Barbara County, THRIVE, and the Carpinteria Unified School District.

Nearly 200 children and parents visited booths and participated in free height and weight screenings, Kids Farmers Market, Re-Think Your Drink Workshop, Dental Health Education, Developmental Screening and more. There was also a bouncing booth, fun physical activities, shoe giveaway, and prizes.
