Officials from Wells Fargo travelled to Pismo Beach to present a donation check of $40,000 to Peoples' Self-Help Housing, a non profit affordable housing organization. Wells Fargo was represented by President Valley Coastal Market Joe Mathai, Vice President Community Affairs Officer Sandy Cha, Community Development Officer Gabriela Mello, District Manager Central Coast Mark Corella, and Santa Barbara Store Manager Pete Llena.
"We are delighted to present this check to Peoples' to further their mission to build affordable housing and programs leading to self-sufficiency for low-income households. Wells Fargo has a great partnership with Peoples. We know this money is in good hands," stated Mathai.
Representing Peoples' was PSHH Board Member Charles Fruit, CFO/Executive Vice President John Fowler, Vice President Real Estate Finance Kenneth Triguiero, and Fund Development Director Rochelle Rose. Following the presentation, the Wells Fargo group toured the recently-completed Pismo Creek Bungalows, a 14-unit affordable apartment complex in Pismo Beach.
Peoples' Self-Help Housing provides affordable housing and programs leading to self-sufficiency for low-income families, seniors, and other special needs groups on California's Central Coast. PSHH has developed and now manages over 1,500 affordable rental units in Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, and Ventura counties. It has also provided first-time homeownership opportunities for 1,200 working families.
